HCDAR-8x series radar level sensor is one kind of level measuring instrument which uses FMCW special millimeter wave technology, the working frequency is 76-81GHz.
The signal output has options: 2-wire 4-20mA, 4-wire 4-20mA or RS485.
The max measuring range can reach 120m, and the blind zone of 8cm.
The antenna beam angle is about 3°, the outstanding performance makes it workable for the accurate measurement of liquids, solids and powder materials.

HCDAR-8x series launch a microwave signal frequency changing with the time linearly, the reflected signal and the launched signal are mixed through the “mixer”.
The difference of frequency is proportional to the distance from radar to the reflection surface and get the distance information required through the FFT transform.

HCDAR-6x series has small beam angles, and strong anti-interference ability, which improves measurement accuracy and reliability.

The antenna size is smaller, easy to install. It has small measuring blind zone and shorter wavelength.

HCDAR-6X has a good measurement effect for small tanks and small particles. Non-contact measurement, no wear, no pollution.

Output option: 2-wire (4-20 )mA HART and 4-wire RS485 Modbus.

HCCK – Hebei Huachuang M&C Technology Co., Ltd.

The HCDAR-8H Radar Level Sensor is a high-performance industrial radar level measurement device designed for accurate and reliable monitoring of water and liquid levels in tanks, reservoirs, and industrial systems.

Developed by Hebei Huachuang M&C Technology Co., Ltd. and marketed under the HCCK brand, this radar level transmitter uses advanced microwave radar technology to provide highly stable and precise liquid level measurement even in harsh industrial environments.

With strong anti-interference capability and non-contact measurement technology, the HCDAR-8H radar level sensor is widely used in water treatment plants, wastewater systems, chemical storage tanks, hydrological monitoring stations, and industrial automation projects.

The sensor offers continuous level monitoring, long service life, minimal maintenance, and high measurement accuracy, making it one of the most reliable radar level measurement solutions available for industrial liquid monitoring applications.

A radar level sensor is a modern industrial instrument used to measure liquid levels using electromagnetic radar waves.

The sensor emits microwave signals toward the surface of the liquid. The reflected signal returns to the sensor, and the distance between the sensor and the liquid surface is calculated based on the signal travel time.

This technology provides extremely accurate and stable measurements, making radar level sensors one of the most widely used solutions in modern industrial monitoring systems.

Compared with traditional level measurement technologies such as float sensors, pressure transmitters, or ultrasonic sensors, radar sensors offer significant advantages in terms of accuracy, reliability, and maintenance.

The HCDAR-8H Radar Level Sensor is specifically engineered to deliver high-precision water level measurement for industrial and environmental monitoring applications.

High Precision Radar Level Measurement

The HCDAR-8H radar level transmitter provides high-accuracy measurement using advanced microwave radar technology. It can maintain stable signal detection even under complex industrial conditions.

This makes the sensor suitable for continuous liquid level monitoring in tanks, reservoirs, and storage systems.

Non-Contact Measurement Technology

One of the most important advantages of radar level sensors is non-contact measurement.

The sensor measures the liquid level without touching the medium, which offers several benefits:

  • No corrosion damage

  • No contamination risk

  • Longer operational lifespan

  • Reduced maintenance requirements

This technology ensures reliable performance even in aggressive industrial environments.

Strong Anti-Interference Capability

Industrial monitoring environments often contain:

  • Vapor

  • Dust

  • Foam

  • Temperature fluctuations

  • Electrical noise

The HCDAR-8H radar level sensor uses advanced signal filtering algorithms to eliminate interference and maintain accurate measurements.

Stable Performance in Harsh Environments

The sensor is designed to operate reliably in challenging environments including:

  • Water treatment plants

  • Wastewater systems

  • Chemical storage tanks

  • Hydrological monitoring stations

The rugged industrial design ensures long-term stability and reliability.

The HCDAR-8H Radar Level Sensor is widely used in industrial and environmental monitoring applications.

Water Treatment Plants

Radar level sensors are commonly installed in:

  • Sedimentation tanks

  • Filtration tanks

  • Water reservoirs

They provide accurate monitoring of water levels to ensure safe and efficient operation of treatment facilities.

Wastewater Treatment Systems

Wastewater environments often include foam, vapor, and sludge that can affect traditional sensors.

Radar technology allows reliable measurement even in these difficult conditions.

Industrial Storage Tanks

Radar level transmitters are widely used for monitoring liquid levels in:

  • Chemical storage tanks

  • Oil storage tanks

  • Industrial water tanks

Continuous monitoring helps prevent overflow and ensures operational safety.

Pumping Stations

Monitoring pump well water levels is essential for maintaining system efficiency and preventing equipment damage.

Radar sensors provide real-time monitoring for automated pump control systems.

Hydrological Monitoring

Radar water level sensors are also used in environmental monitoring projects such as:

  • River water level monitoring

  • Lake monitoring systems

  • Flood monitoring stations
