The GESTRA BW series (Kalorimat) are self‑acting return temperature control valves that regulate the return temperature of a heating circuit.

The valve ensures that fluid (hot water or thermal oil) returns from consumers only when it has cooled below a predetermined “closing temperature.” Above that threshold, the valve restricts the return flow, thereby maintaining a stable return temperature and protecting upstream equipment.
